Although some of the "in him" verses are found in the book of Acts and the majority of them found in the Letters to the Churches, as I read through Mark and John during this Bible reading cycle, I discovered similar phrases such as "in my name", "trust in me", "abide in me and I in you" and "I in them and thou in me", spoken by Jesus himself teaching the disciples and through prayer.
Not sure if these verses will be counted in this biblical exercise; but, they still encourage my spirit as to who I am in Christ Jesus. I believe Jesus spoke prophetically not only to his twelve but, also to those future disciples, like you and me, who were to hear the Gospel and come to know the Father by faith IN HIM.
These are the verses I noticed so far: Mark 16:17; John 1:4, 6:56; 11:25-26; 14:1, 12-14; John 15:4-5, 7 and 16; 17:21 and 26.
